West Tower
West Tower is a beautiful wedding venue nestled in the countryside in Ormskirk. The ballroom has large windows that look out onto the surrounding fields and terrace. It’s usual for the head table to be placed in front of the large windows for the wedding breakfast so it makes for a wonderful backdrop.
The ceremony room is bright and romantic, especially when the aisle is lined with candles and petals. I love filming weddings at West Tower and have another booked for New Years Day! That will be a wedding to remember. I can’t wait to see the venue decorated for Christmas.
My most recent wedding at West Tower was for Laura and Oliver who wanted me to film their day in a natural way and capture their guests having fun. They hired a magician to entertain everyone during the drinks reception and had a guitarist playing some of their favourite songs. They also had a band in the evening who performed their first dance song.
The violinist that played for the couple during their ceremony was fantastic. You can watch a clip of him performing below. This is a performance of A Thousand Years, which is really popular at weddings. It always manages to tug at the heart strings!

Oliver was really nervous before the ceremony, as you can see in the video highlights. The anticipation of waiting for Laura as she walked down the aisle really built up. The vows were heartfelt and everyone cheered as they walked up the aisle as a newly married couple. Straight after the wedding, the guests joined the bride and groom on the terrace outside to throw confetti. The group shot was taken on the stairs leading up to the terrace.
