Linacre Methodist Church & Firwood Bootle Cricket Club
Hannah & Shaun were married at the Linacre Methodist Church in Bootle where the In Another Place Gospel Choir performed throughout the ceremony. You can watch a snippet of their performance on our Instagram page, below. They added so much energy to the ceremony, as you can see from the video. All of the guests were taking pictures and little videos on their phones.
Hannah was brave enough to sing before she walked down the aisle! None of the guests knew that she was going to do this. She has an amazing voice, as you can hear below in the video. Hannah is part of the gospel choir that was performing on the day so this was a really nice touch.
The autumn showers meant that we were unable to go outside to take photos and video so we stayed in the shelter of the church to take some shots after the ceremony. Luckily, the church looks amazing on camera so it all worked out well! The photographer on the day was Bill Corris, who I work with often. In fact, I think we’ve worked together for about eight or more years. We offer a joint photo and video package, which you can find out about on the Special Offers page of the website.
The couple then went to the Firwood Bootle Cricket Club for their wedding breakfast and reception. There was a bit of time to take photos and video outside the cricket club before the heavens opened again. The couple really wanted some shots with their son, Teddy, who looked so cute in his wedding outfit.

The speeches at this wedding were a bit different. The bride and her mum said a few words instead of the groom and father of the bride. The bride’s mum had written a poem, which you can hear a bit of in the highlights video below. The couple poured a champagne fountain, which I’ve never seen before. I thought this was a nice touch and then the couple cut the cake with all their friends and family gathered round to take photos.
