GOSH! wedding video portfolio
GOSH! Weddings is a North West based professional production company that produces high quality, wedding films for you to watch again and again. Below, is a selection of clips from the various wedding videos that I have filmed this year. It was really hard to choose which video clips to use for the showreel, as there were so many special moments. It’s great to be able to film wedding ceremonies, emotional speeches and romantic first dances. Watch some of the weddings below.
Askham Hall, Cumbria
Askham Hall is near Penrith in Cumbria, making it a stunning venue for a wedding. It’s surrounded by rolling hills and countryside. There are formal gardens at the front of the Hall that are perfect for photographs, as you can see from the wedding video below. The gardens lead down to a church where Abbey & Michael were married, which was the perfect setting for their ceremony. Afterwards, all of the wedding guests could walk through the gardens, back up to the house, whilst the couple jumped in the wedding car to take them back.
Arley Hall, Cheshire
James & Annie were married at Arley Hall near Lymm and Northwich in Cheshire. They are fans of Peaky Blinders so when Annie suggested the venue used in the series for their wedding venue, James was more than happy to book the day. The men wore flat caps and drank whiskey whilst some of the women wore twenties style dress. I love the shots taken in the barn and at the front of the mansion. They look so dramatic. The hall is situated within it’s own grounds so there is no interruption from passers by. I filmed from the bridal prep until after the first dance for the couple so there was plenty of time to capture all the details and special moments. You can watch the teaser trailer and highlights videos below.
Abbey House Hotel, Cumbria
Catherine & Paul were married at Abbey House Hotel in Barrow, Cumbria in February. Winter weddings can be so romantic, especially when it’s cold outside and warm inside with lots of candles around the ceremony room, like this one. As it was so cold, the bride and the flower girl wore shrugs outside to keep warm. This was such a good idea, as it can get cold when you’re having your photos taken. The groom wore his army uniform and had no problem in raising his voice to direct the guests where to go for the group shout at the front of the hotel. I filmed from the bridal prep until the end of the speeches at this wedding, which is a popular option.
Park Hall Hotel, Lancashire
Hannah & Adam were married at the Park Hall Hotel in Lancashire. The hotel is situated next to the old theme park, Camelot and used to be a part of the attraction. There is a huge medieval style banqueting hall that was used for the ceremony room. It looked great with the cherry blossom trees at the bottom of the aisle. There is a lake within the grounds of the venue, which is good for a few shots.
West Tower, Ormskirk, Lancashire
Sarah & Kev were married at St. Mary’s church in Liverpool before heading to West Tower for their reception. Their wedding was on New Year’s day so it was pretty cold and crisp. West Tower is a beautiful wedding venue nestled in the countryside in Ormskirk. The ballroom has large windows that look out onto the surrounding fields and terrace. It’s usual for the head table to be placed in front of the large windows for the wedding breakfast so it makes for a wonderful backdrop. I’ve filmed a few weddings here. You can find the another West Tower wedding on the blog. There is also a teaser trailer for you to watch there too.
Mitton Hall, Lancashire
Lucy & Matthew’s wedding was held at Mitton Hall in Clitheroe, Lancashire. These wedding video highlights are a selection of some of the best parts of the day. It was difficult to choose which shots to use for their wedding video highlights, as the venue was so beautiful, there were so many places to film. The gardens were filled with lavender and greenery that provided a great backdrop to film. The speeches at Lucy & Matthew’s wedding were also very heartfelt so it was brilliant to capture these on video.
You can also view the teaser trailer for this wedding. This is a very short 60 second video that’s shared on social media. It’s great for giving you a sneaky peek of the wedding video footage before you get the full thing on DVD.
Thornton Manor, Wirral
Katie & Michael’s wedding video highlights were hard to edit, as there was so many lovely shots to choose from at Thornton Manor. The venue provides so many places both indoors and out for video and photographs. Katie & Michael’s guests took every opportunity to start singing during the group shots, which the couple loved watching back on the video.
This is the teaser trailer for Katie and Michael at Thornton Manor, which was edited the week after the wedding so that they could see some of the footage. I love Katie’s wedding shoes! They’re amazing.
St. Mary’s Church, Nantwich & Wrenbury Hall, Cheshire
Sarah & Rob’s ceremony was at St. Mary’s Church in Nantwich followed by a reception at Wrenbury Hall. Their two children loved being a part of the day. The sun was shining brightly on this day, which strangely, isn’t perfect for filming and taking photographs. We were trying to seek the shade so that guests weren’t squinting in the sun.
I also couldn’t help but edit a teaser trailer for this wedding, which you can view below. Wrenbury Hall is just so beautiful.
30 James Street, Liverpool
Aimee & Adam were married at St. Bede’s Church in Widnes surrounded by their family & friends. They then went on to 30 James Street for their wedding reception. The main room at the venue is very bright with lots of big windows looking out onto the Strand and bustling streets. It’s within walking distance of the water front so this is a good place to get some photos.
