This Liverpool wedding was in the heart of the city. St. James church in Bootle was the setting for the marriage. Pretty white roses and babies breath, tied with a white ribbon decorated the pews.
Lots of friends and family gathered to share the day with the couple at the church. Then, the bridesmaids arrived shortly afterwards, followed by Jennie and her mum. Jennie’s mum walked her down the aisle to Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
It was snowing off and on all day and was very windy, which made it difficult to get some shots outside of the church. Inside the church, in front of the altar, was the perfect place to film some footage for the wedding video and capture some photographs.
Reception – Devonshire House Hotel
The reception venue was the Devonshire House Hotel, which is great for a Liverpool wedding. All of the guests mingled whilst the newlyweds had some couples shots in the gardens, in the centre of the the hotel. Jennie & Francis decided to have guest messages filmed so I asked the mums and dads, bridal party and friends if they would like to say a message to the couple. Guest messages are a nice addition to the wedding videography package, as it allows guests to get more involved and send a special message that can be watched after the day on the wedding DVD.
The speeches were before the wedding breakfast and were introduced by a fantastic Toast Master. The speeches from the mother of the bride, the groom and the best man were very heartfelt. They were great to capture on the wedding video.
The couples first dance song was Best Friend by Queen. All of the guests gathered round while they danced away. Then a band started to play and everyone joined in with the dancing.
