What kind of video coverage should you go for?
It can be difficult to decide on what kind of video coverage to go for. GOSH! Weddings have different packages to suit all budgets and needs. The wedding packages can include video coverage of the bridal prep, arrivals, ceremony, filming of the photo-shoot, speeches, reception and first dance. We have packages that can start from arrivals and finish at your specified point in the day. Some couples prefer to have until the end of the speeches and others like to have until the first dance. It’s totally up to you!
It can be difficult to decide which package to go for. Some people just want the arrivals until the end of the ceremony and photo-shoot to be filmed. This can be the case if the couple is having a religious ceremony and this is the most important aspect for them.
Other couples like to have the speeches filmed, as they know that they are going to be amusing and want to be able to watch them back again. Brides often comment on how they couldn’t fully remember all of the speeches after that day and the video allowed them to watch it through again and take it all in.
Sometimes couples plan a choreographed first dance, which has taken them a long time to prepare and practice. They want to get this on video, as it isn’t an everyday occurrence to get up and dance in front of everybody. It’s also good to see the reactions of the guests on video. The couple can’t always see what their reactions are when they’re concentrating on what their feet are doing.
It can often be the case that a couple has more guests coming to the evening reception that weren’t there during the day. This could be old friends and relatives that they haven’t seen in a while. It’s nice to have them on the wedding video too when it may be a long time until everybody gets together again.
There are a lot of couples that end up regretting not having a video or not choosing to have their videographer stay longer during the day. The day goes so quickly that it can become a bit of a blur. Having a wedding video helps you to re-live the moments again.
