Statham Lodge
Statham Lodge is a beautiful country house in Lymm, Cheshire. I have filmed at the wedding venue a few times and it’s always been great. It’s family run and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff are helpful – they offered me a cup of tea as soon as I got there, which is always nice!
The day started off with filming the bridal prep in one of the suites at Statham Lodge. The light in these rooms was lovely and bright, which makes filming so much easier. I was able to film the wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses, flowers, shoes and all the other little details. The bride, Emily, was very calm during the bridal prep.
Outdoor wedding
Luckily, the weather was amazing! The bride and groom were able to have their ceremony outside. It’s so pretty in the gardens at the back of Statham Lodge. It’s the perfect place to hold the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the guests gathered at the front of Statham Lodge for the drinks reception and the photographs. The front of the venue is the perfect place for the large group shot. The laburnum was in full bloom making it extra special.
The confetti shot is always one of my favourites. The reactions from the bride and groom as they have their guests throw confetti at them are always great.
The swing at the back of Statham Lodge is a lovely little secluded spot, which is great for photos and video.
Full feature & short videos
The speeches were full of laughs and a few tears. I film the full speeches and ceremony so that you can re-live them all again through the video. This is one of the benefits of my packages, as you get the short videos as well as the full feature edit. You get the best of both worlds.
There was a father daughter dance before the first dance with the bride and groom. Afterwards, all of the guests joined the happy couple on the dance floor. The party had officially started!
